Emilie and Denny | Yosemite Engagement Photography Session

I’m so glad that Emilie and Denny decided to do an engagement session with me prior to their big day next year. It’s a great way to get to know each other and feel comfortable with your photographer. The idea of having the engagement session at Yosemite was brought up by Emilie and I was more than happy to do it. It happens to be my most favorite place to visit in California. My wife and I visited Yosemite almost every year between 2003-2008.

I hauled my rowboat up to Yosemite and met up with Emilie and Denny in Curry Village a day before the shoot to go through some of the areas and ideas that I had, since I’m very familiar with the area. Emilie and Denny were so fun and easy to work with, and they’re such a cute couple. After 10 years of being together, they finally decided to tie the knot next year at Pine Rose Cabins. The engagement shoot was so laid back. We included most of the famous landmarks around the valley (Curry village, of Half Dome, Sentinel Dome, Merced River, El Capitan, Stoneman Bridge, and Yosemite Valley). I couldn’t ask for a better location, a better couple, and a better way to spend the week. Oh, Emilie and Denny completed the Half Dome trail the day after our shoot. WOW!

Below are some of my favorite shots from the session. Enjoy!
