An Elegant Portrait session at Joshua Tree National Park | James Tang Photography

It was my first time ever visiting Joshua Tree National Park and this beautiful location did not disappoint. I met up with Lilia at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center before we carpooled into the park. The weather at Joshua Tree NP in September was perfect, low 80’s during the afternoon and high 60’s at sunset. Lilia brought a few outfits of her own and we started out with a long pink flowy maxi dress. It was the perfect contrast with nature as the beautiful backdrop. We also tried on another beautiful long white dress as the sun goes down. Lilia herself is such a fun person to work with and we get along so well. I photographed her portrait session at Joshua Tree with a mix of digital and film (Kodak Portra 400). I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out.

Below are some of my favorite photos from our portrait session.
