I've been offline for a while now to clear my mind. No worries I'm still alive and kicking. My business this year has been great so far with so many amazing and kind clients. However, my mental health hasn't been great. It has been a bit of an internal struggle for me in the last several months. My busy schedule surely is not helping. I love being my own boss but times like this. I wish I can just call in sick and go hide for a few days. If I'm a bit slow with texts and emails, it's not you. It's me. The recent rainy weather in Southern California fits my mood perfectly. It makes for perfect photography opportunities that I don't often get to do.

I’ve been away from most of my social network ac

I’ve been away from most of my social network accounts mainly due to an unusually busy schedule this year. So, I just want to pop in to say that I’m still alive and kicking. Between traveling to remote places and trying to catch up with work whenever I have a bit of cell service, it has been quite a challenge trying to keep up with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, editing, and some personal alone time to keep me sane. However, I’m thankful that I’m able to do what I love to do.

One of the many things that I look forward to this year is to kayak the Merced river through Yosemite Valley later this Fall. I visit the park many times each year but typically for work and I often have to hurry back for the next photo session. This year I’m making sure to have extra time to relax and cross this adventure off of my bucket list.

I hope everyone is doing well. Here’s a beautiful shot at one of my favorite venues in the mountains, #skyparkweddings . I’m a chatty person so don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions.

This is one of my favorite photographs I've taken at this spot in Yosemite National Park. I generally have no control over the lighting with outdoor photography sessions. However, I always try to schedule all my sessions during the best time of the day for lighting and that's the only thing I can do. This was one of those time when I feel that everything was just perfect.

One of my goals this year is to hike the Half Dome

One of my goals this year is to hike the Half Dome trail in Yosemite. It's about 16 miles round trip with about 10,000 feet of elevation gain. My legs are tired just thinking about it but I'm not getting any younger. I feel like it is now or never. it's time for me to take out the dusty running shoes and put them to good use!

Well, that was a lot of rain and now we're back to the sunny weather again in So Cal. I personally love cloudy weather because it makes for more dramatic photos. Here's a shot from one of my many trips to Yosemite and it looks like I will be back to the park for at least 3 times this year in additional to Lone Pine, Big Sur, and Joshua Tree. Before each photo session, I always try to schedule some extra personal time for me to explore. However, I always end up not being able to do so mainly due to my busy work schedule. This year I will try extra hard to have that personal time to explore places and be out in nature more. Then again, I always say that each year!

I love that my clients are just as crazy (in a good way) as I am when it comes to doing whatever it takes to get the beautiful photos. Also, apparently to be my clients you have to be able to handle the cold weather and long hikes.

It was my first time here and we were treated to sunshine and then strong wind, dense fog, heavy snow, and freezing temperature. 🥶🌧️ However, that didn’t stop us from having a lot of fun.
