A Yosemite Engagement Photography Session in the Winter | Lisa and Richard

Lisa and Richard met 3 years ago at a party. Although Lisa made the first move, Richard actually wanted to be just friends. After a year of being friends, their friendship grew into a romantic relationship. Before moving to Seattle, Richard wants to propose to Lisa. He reached out to me, James Tang Photography, and we planned the whole proposal / engagement photography session in Yosemite. A good story is never without “drama”. Mother Nature is unpredictable and dumped a bunch of snow the night before making the drive into the park very treacherous. Luckily, I was able to avoid all the accidents and made it through safely. On top of that, the storm caused numerous closure of roads and popular hiking trails, one of which we had planned for the proposal. The actual engagement ring didn’t get to Richard in time due to a powerful Winter storm in the East Coast. Even with all that, Richard didn’t want to miss the moment and proposed to Lisa in front of Lower Yosemite Fall. Lisa did say yes to the temporary $5 plastic ring, and we were able to get some fun photos by Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Tunnel View, and the famous Half Dome at sunset.

Below are some of my favorite photos from Lisa and Richard’s Yosemite engagement photography session in the Winter.
