Winter Engagement Session at Sequoia National Park | James Tang Photography

After numerous emails, I met Justine and Dave in person for the first time on their engagement photography session at Sequoia National Park. They’re so kind and easy to talk to. It feels like we have been friends forever. We also share our love for the outdoors so that made it a lot more fun to hang out. We drove and hiked around the first day to check out some of the locations because it was my first time ever being in that part of Sequoia National Forest.  I must have hiked for about 10 miles that weekend. Justine’s aunt happened to be at the park a few weeks prior so she gave us a few pointers on some of the locations. They were on point!

On the day of the actual shoot, it was 34 degrees with 30 mph wind. It was COLD even for me and I was dressed up for the occasion. Justine on the other hand had just a thin dress on and a jacket. So needless to say, if she’s able to do that then I can’t really complain about the cold. Sequoia National Park thew everything at us on that day! However, through the wind, snow, and cold we made off with some amazing photos of Justine and Dave at their special place. I’m so looking forward to their wedding in the forest in 2021.

Here are some of my favorite photos from Justine and Dave’s engagement photography session at Sequoia National Forest.
