Shirlyn and Dixie’s Engagement | Big Bear Engagement Photographer

My long time friend is getting married next year in June.  I will be at his wedding not as a guest but as a photographer, so no partying but I will get to see everyone else having fun  lol .  We have known each other for probably 10 years and I’m glad to see him finally found the one.  We originally wanted to do a motorcycle theme in downtown LA, but decided that it wouldn’t be logistically possible.  So a week before the actual shoot, I suggested Big Bear for their engagement photo shoot and that turned out to be a great suggestion.

Fall is slowly showing in Big Bear through the weather and colors.  It is beautiful to see the transition, although, it’s not yet complete.  At this time, most of the forest is still green but some have turned into beautiful and vibrant yellow, orange, and red.  It was in the mid 60’s during the day but got really cold at night.  My iPhone said it was in the 20’s at night and that’s really cold by Californian’s standards.  🙂

My friend and his fiancee were both camera shy at the beginning of the shoot but loosened up a bit towards the end.  I had a great time hanging out with old friends and the pictures are beautiful. Thanks Alex for coming out to help with the lighting.

Well, here are some of the pictures from the day.
